Project:
Infant education for very vulnerable children (Street´s Children, orphans and singles mother´s sons and daughters) from Kibera, Nairobi. The poorest settlement of Kenya.
Place:
Kibera, Kenia
Area:
Education
Funders:
0,7 Solidarity Fund. University of Basque Country (18.933 €). Council of Andoain (4.180 €)

The hard situation in one million citizens of Kibera lives, the largest illegal suburb in Kenya and the second largest shanty town in the whole of Africa, and the desperate lack of resources of all kinds that  prevents children from satisfying their most basic needs have encouraged us to provide  financial support to our counterpart Laini Saba Primary and Nursery School Christ the King Parish.

The objective of this project, supported by the 0,7 Solidarity  Fund of University of Basque Country, is to provide a quality education to the boys and girls who attend the school and to enable the food programme run by our counterpart to function properly so that the children can have at least the minimum-level safe, healthy and nutritional diet necessary to allow them to grow properly and perform effectively at school.
